In case you didn’t notice, Bohemian Trails got a major facelift this week! I’ve been wanting to redesign the site for two years and I finally found the perfect designer to make it happen. In all honesty, life has gotten taken me for a ride the past few years and as a result, I’ve put Bohemian Trails on the back-burner. Well, consider the hiatus over! Along with a new look, my content will shift a little bit.
Here’s what you can expect in the coming months.
– More mental health and wellness pieces –
Don’t worry; Bohemian Trails will still be primarily a travel blog but I’ll be introducing more wellness pieces into the mix. In particular, I’m most interested in mental health, so many posts will give insight into my own personal struggles as well as how to combat these problems on the road.
– More tailored ‘Neighborhood Guides’ –
If you’ve been reading Bohemian Trails since the beginning, you already know that I’m mildly obsessed with neighborhoods. That said, I’ll be focusing on specific neighborhoods instead of lumping them all into one guide. So, for example, instead of writing a “Neighborhood Guide to Hong Kong,” I’ll tackle one neighborhood, like Central or Sheung Wan, alone.
– Fewer press trips. More partnerships. –
As a travel writer and blogger, I’m often invited to destinations as “media.” This is always disclosed in any coverage I produce from those trips and while I these opportunities have definitely allowed me to visit far flung corners of the globe and meet amazing locals along the way, I’ll be taking fewer of these for the time being. I will, however, be taking on more partnerships and endorsing brands I already love like Grabr.
– I’m opening up a store! –
That’s right! I’m going to start featuring work from my favorite artists and allowing you to buy directly from my site. This is a very new undertaking for me so I’ll be hiring my web designer again to nail down the specifics. Right now, I’m hoping to feature artwork from Hannah Adamaszek, mugs and other home goods from Megan Snedden, scented candles from Travelista Teri and much, much more. I may even dabble in some creative work myself!
That’s it for now! Thanks for following my trail all these years. 🙂
